Believe it or not, Madrid destination Expert Delphine Beau Morandini had never visited the city before she moved there! How is that possible?!
“I only saw Madrid for the first time when I landed here a couple of years ago! First we were expats in Belgium, then Argentina, before my husband was given the opportunity to transfer here. We didn’t hesitate. And I was right to trust my instinct! We’ve had no regrets.”
Madrid is a very comfortable city where you can find everything you want. There’s a great choice of restaurants and bars to enjoy spending time with friends, or just sit and read, as I love reading novels. That’s when I’m not working on a couple of projects as a textile designer, including one that uses African fabrics, with an Italian association that raises money for refugees.
I love the cultural offer, and aim to visit an exhibition or museum with my best Spanish friend once a week. The possibility of walking from one place to another is also really practical.
I’m very curious when I travel and love discovering new places and hidden away corners, especially those off the beaten track.
When we lived in Argentina we travelled a lot because we had such a huge opportunity to discover South America. Argentina itself is so big, very different from North to South.
We used to book a flight and organize the trip ourselves, consulting guidebooks of course, but also talking to people we’d met. As we have a family it’s essential to mix cultural things with sporting activities. And everyone agrees that good food is key to a successful vacation!
The next place I’d like to go to is New York, with my children and parents so we get three generations together. It’s a wonderful way to create memories together.
When I travel I appreciate people who are friendly and smile. Who think about what I’m looking for so I can relax and feel good.
If that’s is what you look for too, we definitely have the same thinking! So do get in touch so we can share it…”
Delphine speaks French, Italian, Spanish and English.
“We flew like birds in Madrid with the teleferico across the casa del campo, gliding just above the houses and trees. Wonderful day!”

“My husband and I spent a week in Cape Town last march. Amber was my contact at Cmycities and I must say she was great helping us make our stay the most enjoyable possible! Amber is easy to get in touch with and is extremely reactive. She gave us tailor-made advices, as I had been in Cape Town only once, years ago (loved Green Market Square and the Truth Coffee).
I particularly appreciated her good tips (we were looking for running spots and found great ones at the Sea Point Waterfront) and addresses that no guide tour would have given me (girl-to-girl best spots like shopping in the Watershed) but also lots of groovy attractions for the two of us. “

“I had a wonderful last minute week-end in London two months ago… Cmycities London helped me find a hotel, select a musical and recommended the Saatchi Gallery, which was really for me an amazing experience. I can only recommend Marie-Pascale, for the personal touch I am always looking for when I travel… and I can’t wait to travel again with Cmycities! “

“We had the most incredible experience in Paris a few weeks ago! The trip was a surprise long weekend for our 5 year-old daughter birthday and it was just perfect! Her eyes are still sparkling, maybe from seeing the Eiffel Tower?! We managed to keep a day out at Disneyland as a surprise. It’s a family trip we’ll never forget! “

“I only had a short stay in Sao Paulo but I was lucky to have Andre to show me around and point me in the right direction. He knows all the good spots and fun areas, and you can definitely tell how much he loves his city! I can’t wait to go back and explore more of this incredible city!
I highly recommend getting in touch with him before your stay!
Thanks again Andre :)”
