Cape Town Destination Expert Amber Guegan has become one of the locals since she’s been living there with her partner (and dog!) after they moved to pursue a business opportunity. Now she acts for clients who need French representation there. She tells us about what made her stay:
“Cape Town is also known as the Mother City. Some people say that it’s because everything takes 9 months here, it’s such an “easy life”! But the reality is that Cape Town gives you a feeling of Home Sweet Home. For the first time in my life I feel strange each time I leave Cape Town. I can take a vacation to the best places in the world, but I’m still happy to come back home… to the Mother City!
I’ve lived elsewhere abroad too (Mexico, New Zealand, Malta, Philippines, Spain…). And I’ve always traveled. When I was a student I’d always try to spend half the year working as an intern in companies overseas and traveling on my own.
My way of travelling is mixing roots and luxury. Would you want to have to choose between meeting the locals in a street market and having a glass of wine in one of the most luxury wine farms? Not me, so I choose both! I mix it up all the time and I’m looking forward to doing the same for you.
The best way to enjoy Cape Town is to enjoy all the aspects it gives you! You’d like to see the sea, mountain, city, fashion, food and drinks all in one day? Welcome to Cape Town!
I’ve talked even about me, let’s talk about you now!”

“We flew like birds in Madrid with the teleferico across the casa del campo, gliding just above the houses and trees. Wonderful day!”

“My husband and I spent a week in Cape Town last march. Amber was my contact at Cmycities and I must say she was great helping us make our stay the most enjoyable possible! Amber is easy to get in touch with and is extremely reactive. She gave us tailor-made advices, as I had been in Cape Town only once, years ago (loved Green Market Square and the Truth Coffee).
I particularly appreciated her good tips (we were looking for running spots and found great ones at the Sea Point Waterfront) and addresses that no guide tour would have given me (girl-to-girl best spots like shopping in the Watershed) but also lots of groovy attractions for the two of us. “

“I had a wonderful last minute week-end in London two months ago… Cmycities London helped me find a hotel, select a musical and recommended the Saatchi Gallery, which was really for me an amazing experience. I can only recommend Marie-Pascale, for the personal touch I am always looking for when I travel… and I can’t wait to travel again with Cmycities! “

“We had the most incredible experience in Paris a few weeks ago! The trip was a surprise long weekend for our 5 year-old daughter birthday and it was just perfect! Her eyes are still sparkling, maybe from seeing the Eiffel Tower?! We managed to keep a day out at Disneyland as a surprise. It’s a family trip we’ll never forget! “

“I only had a short stay in Sao Paulo but I was lucky to have Andre to show me around and point me in the right direction. He knows all the good spots and fun areas, and you can definitely tell how much he loves his city! I can’t wait to go back and explore more of this incredible city!
I highly recommend getting in touch with him before your stay!
Thanks again Andre :)”
